Camping

We swapped stories, shared traditions, and learned new campfire games.

Trail Skills

Trailmen honed their orienteering skills on a 5.9 mile hike at Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park.

Outdoor Cooking

Trailmen buddied-up with a Trailman from the other troop for camp duties, including cooking. We had ham and cheese omelets, bratwursts, beef stroganoff, peach and blackberry cobblers with ice cream, and a breakfast skillet with bacon, eggs, potatoes, and cheese.

Fire Ranger

Trailmen practiced different fire lays and had a fire lay relay.

Aquatics

Trailmen raced canoes, kayaks, and a Zodiac boat in the Intercoastal Waterway.

Astronomy

We joined the Escambia Amateur Astronomy Association for a stargazing session. Trailmen got to see details of the moon as well as distant stars, nebulae, and galaxies.
